How accurate is LiDAR room measuring?
LiDAR can capture room dimensions with strong practical accuracy, especially for estimates, floor planning, and project preparation. Results can vary with room conditions, device position, and reflective or obstructed surfaces, so confirm critical construction measurements before cutting or ordering materials.
Can I create a floor plan from my phone?
Yes. Measure It uses Apple’s RoomPlan framework to turn a LiDAR room scan into a 2D floor plan and calculate the room’s square footage directly on your device.
Does Measure It work on all iPhones?
The app’s LiDAR scanning features require an iPhone 12 Pro or later Pro model with LiDAR, or a compatible iPad Pro with LiDAR. Standard iPhone models without a LiDAR sensor cannot use the LiDAR room-scanning experience.
